Which app do I use to control my hearing aids?
Each major hearing aid brand has its own companion app — for example, Phonak MyPhonak, Signia App, Oticon ON, Widex Moment. The app is free to download. Our team will set it up and walk you through all features at your fitting appointment.
Can my audiologist adjust my hearing aids through the app?
Yes — many modern hearing aids support remote fine-tuning. If a setting needs to be changed after fitting, your audiologist can push an adjustment to your hearing aids through the app without you needing to visit the clinic. This is especially useful for patients who travel or live far away.
What if I'm not comfortable using a smartphone app?
App control is a bonus feature, not a requirement. All app-controlled hearing aids work perfectly without ever opening the app. Physical buttons on the aid itself handle volume and program changes if you prefer. The app just gives you more options.
Can I create custom programs for different places?
Yes. You can create and name custom listening programs (e.g. "Office", "Restaurant", "Outdoors") and the app can automatically activate the right program when you arrive at a saved location using your phone's GPS.
Is my hearing data private?
Hearing aid apps follow data privacy regulations. Usage data is stored on your device and shared only with your audiologist if you give permission. Manufacturer privacy policies are available in the app. We are happy to discuss privacy concerns at your fitting.
